HISTORIC: Joe Biden picks Kamala Harris as running mate and VP candidate

Yesterday, presidential candidate Joe Biden announced his pick for Vice President, Senator Kamala Harris!

A Howard University Alumni, Senator Harris is the FIRST Black woman on a major party ticket, and if elected, will obviously be the first Black woman to hold the position.

No matter what your thoughts are about Senator Harris and her political decisions in the past, this is a historic moment for Black History, American History, and World History. We stand and support Black women being allowed to be complex, and for their ideas and positions to mature and change, the same way we allow our white public figures to do so.

This nomination demonstrates that America is evolving and that racial and social equality are more important than ever.
